Organizations
The Children’s Foundation works with many other organizations to improve children’s lives. Thank you to all of them for their ongoing support.
We operate a program using City of Surrey properties.
We lease land for our buildings in Vancouver from the City of Vancouver for a nominal fee.
Every year we are able to take five of our children to Disneyland for a day with the support of Dreams Take Flight.
We are working with Family Services of Greater Vancouver and Options Community Services to provide services to families experiencing family violence.
We receive many tickets to entertainment and recreational opportunities from Kids up Front for the children and families we serve.
Options Community Services has several staff co-located at our Surrey offices and we are currently working with them on a program for couples experiencing domestic violence.
The Pacific Immigrant Resources Society provides leadership training for
young immigrant mothers in our facilities.
We work with the Surrey School District to provide after school care for 90 students at 3 inner city schools.
We are so excited about our relationship with Town and Country Equestrian who provides the facility and instruction for children in the Horse Power program. Thank you also to Anne Rowland for supporting this great initiative.
The Alderwood Family Development Centre works closely with the Vancouver School Board and in particular, Beaconsfield School who provides teachers to the program.
Vancouver Coastal Health provides a mental health worker for the Alderwood Family Development Centre.
We work with Zajac Ranch to provide vulnerable children with a summer camp experience each year. With the support of
Zajac we sent twelve children this year.
